Martine is an Atlanta portrait photographer based just north of the city in Roswell. She shoots babies, children, families and high school seniors all over Atlanta. Portrait sessions happen in the parks I keep going back to, in the studio, or at your house if that is easier on everybody.

Let’s all be real for a second. Having little ones is hard, it’s even harder when you are trying to get them dressed in their best, yourself, get out the door, and get everyone to a photo shoot in good moods. Which is why I am totally down for in home mini sessions. Kids under 3 rarely last more than 30 minutes and sometimes do much better if I come to them in their own territory on their own terms.
Being a mom of 3 myself, and enjoying my place BEHIND the camera, I know how hard it is to make sure there are good quality pictures of you and your little ones. Capturing a mom and their child(ren) really makes me feel like I am giving my clients something so valuable.
I try to get a shot of just mom and dad together during family sessions, because I know my husband and I have barely any professional pictures of just the two of us. Embrace the opportunity, you won’t regret it.
Whenever I go to someone’s home to take portraits, I always try and make sure to get some images of the family pet(s). After all they are legitimately part of the family and I am an animal lover, so how can I resist. And sometimes when you’re just over 1 year old, it’s easier on mom and dad if we stay home anyway.
I love it when my families are returning clients. It’s awesome for me to watch the little ones get bigger and cuter and even more fun. I absolutely adore watching my couples and families grow. It is a huge perk to what I do.
Garrard’s Landing Park in Roswell is, as it always is, a beautiful location. Roswell Mill at Vickery Creek gives you the water fall backdrop, the bridge and the old bricks. And you really can not beat that late afternoon sun at Leita Thompson.

Where we shoot around Atlanta
Most of my sessions happen outside. These are the spots I come back to again and again, and I am always happy to shoot somewhere that means something to you instead.
Garrard Landing Park, Roswell. As it always is, a beautiful location. The field goes gold in autumn and it is about as easy as it gets with little ones.
Roswell Mill at Vickery Creek. The water fall backdrop, the bridge and the old bricks. A favourite place for mini sessions.
Leita Thompson Memorial Park, Roswell. You really can not beat that late afternoon sun at Leita Thompson.
Smith-Gilbert Gardens, Kennesaw. Good in spring when everything is blossoming.
Galt’s Ferry Landing, Acworth. On the beach at Lake Allatoona, worth the drive for a maternity session at sunset.
Old 4th Ward Park and the Beltline. Really digging the graffiti artwork under Freedom Pkwy, the painted walls and the small fields of wild flowers.
The Goat Farm Arts Center, Atlanta. Early on a Sunday morning is the time to go. You can find more parks on the City of Roswell parks site.
Our process
01 Studio
We have the ability to have sessions in a studio. Or for newborn sessions, we can bring our portable studio set up to you.
02 On-Location Sessions
Our favorite types of sessions, especially for those with little ones, is our on location sessions. These are typically in a park or pedestrian safe area around Atlanta.
03 Editing
All our images are edited for composition, crop, and color. We have a classic, but bold and colorful editing style. We attempt to keep everything true to color while enhancing the natural beauty of the moment.
04 Printing
We offer the ability through your online gallery, to order prints of your images from a professional printer available only to professional photographers.
Booking an Atlanta portrait photographer
Email or call and we will talk through what kind of session you want, where you want to shoot and when. Mini sessions are short and work well with toddlers. Full sessions give us room to move around and try a couple of locations. Either way you get an online gallery where you can order prints from a professional lab.
