We absolutely love spending time with our couples, having fun capturing the love and the interaction. From your portraits to your ceremony, the intimate and organic to the epic and romantic, we aim to give you that magazine quality image to admire for years to come.
Straight off the aisle, before anyone finds you. You’re married, nobody’s asked you for anything yet, and it’s the only part of the day that belongs to just the two of you. We take you somewhere quiet for a few minutes — it’s usually the most relaxed you’ll look all day, because the part you were nervous about is over.
If we can steal you away for ten minutes near sunset, we will. The last of the light through a veil. Vine rows at a mountain vineyard with her veil laid out behind her. Wrapped up together under the trees. Light flaring between you. This is the single best trade of time in the whole evening, and you’ll be back before anyone notices.
We’ve photographed an aurora over a barn, lightning behind a couple on their wedding night, and a kiss under a clear umbrella with the rain lit up behind it. Weather people apologize for is often the thing that makes the photograph. If it rains on your wedding day, we already have a plan.
The night is not over for photographs. String lights tracing a brick archway. Tall windows lit gold from outside. The Midtown skyline from a stone ledge with her dress catching the wind. A fire pit and a mountain ridge at dusk. Ten minutes out of the reception buys you an entirely different set of pictures.
Every place has one, and finding it is most of our job. A timber staircase. Stained glass. A theatre marquee. A garden with a dinosaur statue in it. It’s why we like knowing a venue beforehand — and if it’s new to us, we’ll arrive early and find it.
Put fifteen minutes at sunset on the timeline and defend it. It moves depending on the month, so your planner should work backwards from it rather than guessing. Our wedding day timeline guide shows how that fits around the ceremony and your wedding party.
