“A surprise at sunrise, fourteen stories above Atlanta.”
Lauren + Jarvis had to postpone their wedding after losing a family member, and it was a hard time for them. So Jarvis decided to surprise Lauren with an elopement at sunrise on the rooftop at Ventanas in downtown Atlanta, the same day they were leaving for Jamaica. We were so honored that he asked us to be there.
Ventanas sits on the fourteenth and fifteenth floors of the Park Pavilion building downtown. It has floor-to-ceiling windows, a glass spiral staircase and a rooftop with its own helipad, and everywhere you look there’s the Atlanta skyline.
The Details
With help from some amazing vendors, everything was done in pale pink and peach roses. There were even little cards on the table letting everyone know the two of them had just eloped.
Getting Ready
Lauren got ready inside and then came down that glass spiral staircase with her bouquet. We could not get enough of that staircase!
Jarvis got ready by the windows, looking out over the city he was about to get married above.
The Ceremony on the Rooftop
Out on the rooftop, a white aisle covered in petals led to two tall arrangements of pink and white roses, with the skyline right behind them. Their family stood beside them for the vows, and the sun was just coming up over the city.
Portraits Above the City
After the ceremony we started inside at the windows, and then went all the way up to the helipad, where you can see every building downtown. Lauren + Jarvis could not stop smiling.
A Table for Two
Then it was time to celebrate. They had a table for two by the windows, dressed in blush with roses and candles, and a ruffled pink cake. And of course, there was champagne.
Lauren + Jarvis, thank you for trusting us with such a special surprise. We were so happy when you came back to us later for newborn photos of your baby boy. We love watching our couples’ families grow!
