“Take care of as much as possible as soon as possible in the planning process so you can enjoy this time with your partner and family.”

That’s the advice Amy + Andrew have for couples, and you can see it paid off! They got married on Friday, September 10, 2021, at the Piedmont Room in Piedmont Park, and they got to enjoy every minute of it.

The Piedmont Room was built in 1928 as the park’s golf clubhouse, and the old plaque is still on the wall. Today it has thirty-foot ceilings and big windows that look out over the park and the Midtown skyline. The same team runs the Piedmont Garden Tent, where we’ve shot another wedding too.

Getting Ready

Amy’s gown was blush lace, and her flower girls helped with the finishing touches (so sweet!). Her details were all soft pink, with velvet ring boxes, silk ribbon, rose gold Nina heels and a hanger that said Mrs. Curtin. Andrew went with a navy Jos. A. Bank suit and a pink tie.

The Ceremony

The ceremony was in the main room, with gold chairs, a white aisle runner covered in petals and tall pink and white arrangements on columns at the front. Her dad walked her down the aisle, and after the kiss the two of them threw their arms straight up in the air!

Portraits in Piedmont Park

Piedmont Park is right outside the door, so we walked out onto the meadow for portraits with the Midtown skyline behind them. The light that evening was just perfect.

The Reception

Back inside, the room was set with gold chairs, pink florals and a four-tier cake with their monogram on it. After their first dance the Emerald Empire Band took over and kept the dance floor full the rest of the night. We loved seeing the flower girls out there dancing with the bridesmaids!
