“Just capture our love for each other! How happy we are to be married.”
That’s all Sarah + Nolan asked of us, and it was the easiest request we’ve ever had. These two could not stop smiling.
They got married in the little chapel at Simpsonwood Park in Peachtree Corners and celebrated afterward at a family home. But a couple of days before the wedding, we met them at Cator Woolford Gardens in Atlanta for their first look and wedding portraits, so they had plenty of time to just be together.
A First Look at Cator Woolford Gardens
Cator Woolford is full of old stone staircases, stone bridges and tall trees, right in the middle of Atlanta. Nolan waited at the bottom of the steps with his back turned, and when he finally saw Sarah in her lace sleeves, his face said it all.

Wedding Portraits in the Gardens
After that we walked all over the gardens, up the big staircase, across the little stone bridge and down the garden paths. Sarah’s bouquet from Flowers From Us was white roses with blue delphinium and little yellow flowers, and it went with everything.

The Ceremony at Simpsonwood Park
The chapel at Simpsonwood Park has wooden beams, old pews and a stained glass window behind the front, and it was full of family. Sarah’s dad and mom walked her down the aisle together. After the vows Nolan dipped Sarah for the kiss, and they walked out the front doors with her bouquet up in the air.

Celebrating at Home
The reception was at a family home, with tables out on the patio and Taqueria del Sol for dinner. Sarah + Nolan had their first dance right there on the patio in the evening light, and their parents joined them on the dance floor after.

Wedding Portraits at Cator Woolford Gardens
If you love Cator Woolford but you’re getting married somewhere else, you can still have your wedding portraits there. The gardens aren’t open for photo sessions without a reservation, so book your time with them ahead of the day. We love doing it a day or two before the wedding like Sarah + Nolan did, so nobody is rushing on the wedding day itself. We also shot Ariana + Cory’s engagement session there, if you’d like to see the gardens in spring.
Sarah + Nolan, you made our job so easy. Congratulations!
