“Let’s try this again!”
That’s what Carly + Nick’s invitation said, and we loved it. Like so many couples, they had to push their wedding back, and they finally got to celebrate at the Country Club of Roswell with everyone they love.
The club has a big lawn with a fountain for ceremonies, a garden full of trees and a ballroom with chandeliers and tall windows, so the whole day happened in one place.
The Details
Carly’s colors were lavender and soft grey. Her bouquet from Hamilton Flowers was lavender roses and white hydrangea, with a little locket pinned to the wrap. She had something blue too, a light blue lace garter.
Getting Ready
Her bridesmaids in lavender helped button her into her gown, and then there was champagne, of course.
The First Look
Nick waited with his back turned, and Carly walked up behind him. Then we took a few quiet minutes with the two of them out under the willow tree before the ceremony.
The Ceremony by the Fountain
The ceremony was out on the lawn in front of the fountain, with white chairs and petals lining the aisle. The welcome sign said choose a seat, not a side, and after the vows the fountain was spraying right behind them for the kiss.
The Wedding Party
The girls wore lavender and the guys wore grey, and these two had a fun crew.
The Reception
The reception was in the ballroom under the chandeliers. The cake was three white tiers with lavender roses from Alpine Bakery, and Nick had a St. Louis Cardinals groom’s cake. Carly told us her favorite part of planning was “combining what Nick and I want to create something that represents us both,” and those two cakes side by side said it all. D Street Entertainment kept everyone dancing all night.
Sparklers and a Limo
When it got dark we snuck outside for a few silhouettes, and then everyone lined up with sparklers as Carly + Nick ran out to their limo.
Carly + Nick, it was worth the wait. Congratulations!
