Gabriela + Conner came up from Miami, and they chose The Venue at Sharp Mountain for one simple reason: the mountains. You don’t get views like this in South Florida! By the time they got married, the mountains behind the ceremony site had turned gold and rust, and their colors matched the season perfectly: rust dresses for the girls, cream suits for the guys, and a dark green suit for the groom.

The Details
Natalie Durham Events planned the day and did the flowers too, with orange dahlias, rust mums and white roses tucked into greenery. His and her vow books, the rings and Gabriela’s heels all came out on a wood table in the bridal suite.
Getting Ready
Gabriela got ready in the bridal suite with her girls, and then it was time to get into the gown.
Conner got ready by the barn doors. His groomsmen wore cream suits with rust ties, and of course they had to show off their watches.
A Moment Before the Ceremony
Before the ceremony, they met at the corner of the barn to hold hands without seeing each other.
The Ceremony
The ceremony site faces the mountains, with white pews lining the aisle and a wood arbor covered in fall flowers. Gabriela’s father walked her down the aisle, and on the way back up, Conner dipped her for a kiss.
Wedding Portraits in the Fall Light
Fall light at Sharp Mountain is soft and warm, and the grass turns gold this time of year. We took the wedding party out on the field, then took Gabriela + Conner down to the waterfall and finished right at sunset.
The Reception
The reception was in the barn, with its wall of windows looking out at the mountains. Prestige Catering handled dinner, the cake from Cake Envy was a semi-naked cake with orange and white flowers, and there was a coffee bar trailer outside for later in the night. Guests went home with little bottles of infused olive oil, and Jam Up kept the dance floor full.
At the end of the night, everyone gathered at the barn doors to send them off.
